BMW
today announced the opening of Parsoli Motors its dealership in
Ahmedabad. It will cater to the sale and after sales services of BMW in
Gujarat.
Announcing
this, BMW India President Peter Kronschnabl said that this is the 11
dealership of the BMW and is part of the company's plan to be Number
one in the growing Indian market. At present it is second after
Mercedes.
Citing
the sales figures of last year, he said that the BMW has target of sale
of 2,000 cars in India this year. Last year, 1387 BMW were sold against
the target of 1,000, he pointed out.
Company
has production plant in Chennai was strength to roll out 3,000 BMW a
year. However, at present the company want to fully exploit the Indian
market and has no plans to export cars from India.
In
India , all global models of BMW are available, he said. In reply to a
question, he said that the company offered models for all classes and
to suit the need of all.
Ahmedabad already has 70 BMW. The owners will now get after sales service from the BMW.
